April 15: Easter, the sequel.
Today was Orthodox Easter in Romania — the day most Romanians celebrate. A friend invited us over for a traditional meal of vişinată, ciorba de perişoare, sarmale, slanina, and homemade wine and chocolate cake. She also had a basket full of eggs dyed in the traditional way — with leaves and petals that make designs when the eggs are colored with red and yellow onion peels. The kids loved the eggs and cleared out at least half of her basket. Paşte Fericit to all (again)!
