December 5: Happy feet.
Tonight, well-behaved children all over Romania put out their shoes for St. Nicholas to fill with treats. Tomorrow, when they see what they’ve received, the Christmas season officially begins here. And let’s not confuse St. Nicholas with Santa Claus, or Moș Crăciun as the Romanians call him. The jolly old bearded guy will most assuredly visit on December 24, while his friend St. Nicholas merely offers a preview of the gift haul that’s to come.

That is so fun! I love this. Sounds like a tradition to take back to the states 🙂
