November 6: Keeping track.
A Romanian friend who has been a tremendous help since my accident gave us this train set a few weeks ago. Her son is older and has outgrown it, whereas we are smack in the middle of the train-fascination phase. Lollipop and Giggles both spent a good part of the weekend helping my husband put the track together, watching the trains go around and around, and flipping the switches on the tracks to change the train direction. They were fascinated. And quiet. And sharing. For a little while, at least! And let’s not count the hours my husband the engineer spent “working” on the tracks after the kiddos were in bed, optimizing the arrangement to use as many pieces and be as compact as possible!
