October 13: Birthday girl.
Happy 5th Birthday to my daughter! We celebrated with a party at school (where her class sang “Happy Birthday” to her in English and Romanian) and a party at home for a few of her closest friends and their families. We introduced them to Pin the Tail on the Donkey (or, in our case, Tape the Tail on the Bunny), seven-layer Mexican dip with tortilla chips, and good old Duncan Hines cake mix. And, of course, there was lots of pizza, balloons, and fun.

    • It’s funny, we had a Swedish family, two German families, a Jordanian family, and a Romanian family. So it was truly an international affair! But just like an American party, we had tons of food that no one ate. =>
