July 2: Our first visit with a Romanian pediatrician. He came to our house last night (they make house calls!) and looked Lollipop over. Fever, rash, sore throat … He was pretty sure it was viral but wanted to watch her carefully to rule out scarlet fever (scarlet fever!). Luckily, she is better today and acting almost like her usual creative, happy self.

Yikes. Not fun! I’m glad she is feeling better. I hate it though when doctors drop frightening terms, scarlet fever, etc. But I am selfish, – – I love how cuddly they are when they’re under the weather! I hope she continues to mend quickly.
